CATEGORY-III: RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS

1. Wherever relevant to any specific discipline, the API score for paper in refereed journal would be augmented as follows: (i) indexed journals – by 5 points; (ii) papers with impact factor between 1 and 2 by 10 points; (iii) papers with impact factor between 2 and 5 by 15 points; (iv) papers with impact factor between 5 and 10 by 25 points.

2. The API for joint publications will have to be calculated in the following manner: Of the total score for the relevant category of publication by the concerned teacher, the first/Principal author and the corresponding author/supervisor/mentor of the teacher would share equally 60% of the total points and the remaining 40% would be shared equally by all other authors.

Explanation -1: The parameters listed in table of Category-III (Research and Academic contributions) shall have following capping in relation to the total API score claimed by the candidates:

·  III (A) : Research papers (Journals, etc.) 30%

·  III (B) : Research publications (books, etc.) 25%

·  III (C) : Research Projects 20%

·  III (D) : Research Guidance 10%

·  III (E) : Training Courses and Conference/ Seminar, etc. 15%

Explanation -2: The above capping shall be subject to the extent that the incumbent may choose either of the two options – a) adopt the existing %age cap for API claim of each of the sub-categories in Category III (Research and Publications and Academic contribution) or b) adopt %age API in any three of the five sub-categories with a cap of 35% in each sub-category when calculating the total API score for CAS. However, this option shall be available only up to the stage of Associate Professor.

Important instructions to the candidates

1.  These positions are identified as suitable for Persons with Disability (PWD) as well.

2.  Applicants who are employed in Govt./Semi-Govt. organization should route their applications through proper channel.

3.  Eligibility of a candidate shall be considered as on the last date for determination of eligibility shall be 01.07.2015

4.  Applications fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

5.  Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. More stringent criteria may be applied for short listing the candidates to be called for interview.

6.  Applications incomplete in any respect and those received after the last date shall not be entertained.

7.  The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are not genuine or the candidate has a clandestine antecedents/background and has suppressed any substantial information, then his/her services shall be liable for termination apart from any offer legal action which may be deemed appropriate.
