Informa Business Information is an expanding global business and this is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven and money-hungry Senior Sales/Business Development Executive looking to establish a fruitful account management career in a market leading and ever-growing Business Intelligence portfolio.

Informa Business Information provide business intelligence which encompasses news, analysis, market research & data, with this portfolio covering AgroSciences, Soft Commodities, Animal Health and related areas.

Reporting to the GlobalAccounts Director, our Key Account Managers are responsible for managing and developing tier 1 client relationships and driving new business opportunities on multiple products on a global basis, with the aim of migrating clients from inconsistent deal values to high, value-based contracts. Selling the Business Intelligence products and services, we are ideally seeking applicants that have previously sold business information or related services into the commercial/private sector both nationally and internationally. International travel may be required.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Achieving sales uplift targets bymanaging and developing your client base of key tier 1 clients globally
  • Defining account strategies for each of your key accounts
  • Proactively liaising with the content & analyst teams to feed-in proposition development opportunities
  • Developing strategic selling, presentation, proposal writing and bespoke solution sales skills.

Ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Previous experience and strong track record in managing and developing key accounts
  • Proven track record in selling business intelligence solutions to commercial/private sectorsenior decision makers
  • Experience in presenting the value of market information is desired
  • Experience of selling in a technical industry is strongly preferred
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly developed business acumen and ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • A language in addition to fluent English would be advantageous but not essential – in particular Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese or any European languages
