Winter qualifiers for BSPS & Ponies (UK), all classes open to both unaffiliated & affiliated competitors

BSPS 2018 Winter Championships at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham

The 1st, 2nd 3rdprize winners will qualify in the Novice Classes and the Open First Pony of Show Hunter Type and in the mixed height novice classes 1st, 2nd, 3rdand 4th prize winners will qualify. In the Open/Restricted classes the three highest placed Restricted animals in each class will qualify and in the Mixed Height Open/Restricted Classes the four highest placed Restricted animals will qualify (riders on Restricted animals MUST wear an armband).

1st – 4th prize-winners in the Open/Restricted classes at Winter qualifying shows will qualify for the Premier League at the BSPS Summer Champ. Show

1stprize-winners in the Heritage Rest/Open classes will qualify for the B.S.P.S. WOW FACTOR (“Winner of Winners”) at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championship Show.

Animals must be registered before the date of the Show at which they qualify for the Winter Championships and must be ridden by a BSPS member, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies, providing they have a valid JMB Certificate before the date of the Championship they qualify for.

This show is a qualifier for the Ponies (UK) Spring Classic 2018, BSPA 2018 & Equifest 2018

The 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed competitors will qualify for the 2018 Annual National Championships at the P (UK) Spring Classic 2018, BSPS 2018 & Equifest 2018. Results will be confirmed by the office. Competitors in qualifying positions, are not required to become PUK members.

The Championship Finals will be held at the BSPS Winter Championship Show 2017, to be held 30th March – 1st April 2018 and will comprise of:

· Non-Native Types 15.0hh and under

· Non-Native Type Horses exceeding 15.0hh

· Native/Traditional/Cob Types 14.2hh and under,

· Native/Traditional/Cob Types exceeding 14.2hh

In a mixed height WHP/WH riders may ride more than one animal providing the animals are of a different height. Riders must declare if they are competing in the 153cm or Intermediate sections Animals may not compete in the 153 cms. WHP Class and the Intermediate Working Hunter Class at the same Show in the same section, except at the RIHS (Subject to confirmation)

Class 4 BSPS Open (Restricted) WHP/WH Mixed Height not exc 158cm
