DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the overall coordination of the Senior Project Coordinator and the general supervision of the Chief, Information Technology Service (ITS), the Information Technology Training Coordinator will assess training needs and design, document, organize, implement and deliver a range of targeted IT Training courses and activities to staff of all levels for the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) project in Nigeria.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

·  Develop training need analyses and assess specific learning needs

·  Create, draft and update training documentation

·  Design a range of targeted IT Training programmes

·  Develop training curricula

·  Deliver training courses to staff in EFCC Headquarter, EFCC Training Institute, Field Offices as well as external entities as required

·  Organize and conduct development initiatives such as mentoring and capacity building for staff

·  Work with developers in developing training related applications and/or assist in testing applications

·  Maintain IT Training records and databases

·  Create on-line training, surveys and certificate exams testing knowledge of various IT applications

·  Formulate means of assessing progress and implementing certification programme

·  Evaluate the effectiveness of training

·  Coordinate with senior staff to ensure that training and development meets current needs and anticipates, to the extent possible, future needs.

·  Assist in administrative and budgeting processes

·  Technological Awareness: Advanced computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of MS office applications, Lotus Notes and other IT applications. Willingness and ability to rapidly learn other applications used within UNODC/EFCC

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: University degree preferably in training, Computer or Information Systems, or other related field. A relevant combination of academic qualifications and extensive experience in training and development may be accepted in lieu of the university degree.

Work experience:

·  Minimum 8 years experience working in an IT environment with experience in developing training programmes and training MS Office and Lotus Notes applications to an advanced level, or several years of equivalent relevant experience

·  Knowledge in e-learning technologies is desirable

Language: Excellent command of English; knowledge of a second UN official language is desirable
