Determination & Commitment
It takes a tremendous amount of commitment to remain competitive on the National and International level. As a member of the JDT, you must be totally committed to excellence and continuing to learn, grow and improve. You do this not only as an individual JDT member and competitor, but as a team as well. It must be that you are determined to be the best in the world, not just the best in the United States. The following is the minimum commitment that a potential JDT Archer must display:
- Attend at least 2 USAArcheryOutdoortournaments (Easton JOAD Nationals, USAT Qualifier Series Event, State Outdoor Championship, other sanctioned outdoor event).
- Attend at least 1 Indoor Target Archery Event (Vegas Shoot, NFAA Indoor Nationals, First Dakota Classic, U.S. National Indoor Championships).
- Attend the U.S. Team Trials for the World Archery Youth Championships if you are competing in a class that is participating in the World Archery Youth Championships.
- Attend 1 JDT camp per calendar year and not miss two consecutive camps unless specifically approved beforehand.
- Show continuing technical progress in your shooting form.
- Show continuing improvement in theabilityto self-coach.
- Show physical progress from camp to camp using the Beep Test or the fitnesstest results.
- Be able to demonstrate and explainthe National Training System before a group.
- Be a team player.
- Participate in all JDT camp activities unless injured.
- Display exemplary sportsmanship and respect to others at all times.
- Maintain contact with assigned JDT coach between camps by email, phone, Skype or video.
- Submit JDT Home Log Book weekly to assigned JDT Coach.
- Always follow JDT Code of Conduct.
