General objective / ·  To safely and properly manage Zentan and nearby cities’ solid waste to minimise environment pollution and negative impact on public health.
Specific objectives / ·  Assessing the current solid waste collection and management system;
·  Setting-up a Master Plan for urban solid waste collection, disposal and recycling;
·  Purchasing garbage collecting trucks;
·  Purchasing incinerator with adequate capacity to collected garbage’s volume;
·  Establishing waste recycling plant(s) in a second phase;
·  Comprehensive training of recycling plants’ operators and engineers.
Expected results / ·  Cleaner environment;
·  Better drinkable water quality;
·  New jobs created in the field of recycling and transformation of recycled materials;
·  Biogases produced for power generation.
Main activities / ·  Implementing a comprehensive survey on solid urban waste production and management in the Zentan area and nearby municipalities.
·  Developing a Master Plan for urban solid waste collection and disposal;
·  Identifying the most suitable location for garbage collection and Incinerator placement (land available in Zentan Area) according to developed Master Plan;
·  Purchasing garbage collecting trucks and waste incinerator, installing incinerator; training operators, according to developed Master Plan;
·  Purchasing, installing and up running recycling plant(s) according to developed Master Plan.
