*Economies are divided according to 2014 GNI per capita. Use the World Bank table of GNI rankings (http://databank.worldbank.org/data/download/GNIPC.pdf) to evaluate each country’s economic status. Make sure you use the Atlas methodology in US dollars.

2. Look at the GDP purchasing power parity (GDP per capita) for any country (in 2014 U.S. dollars). This is the national GDP per person in that country, an indicator of the wealth per person (assuming even distribution of wealth). Next to the country’s GDP-PPP is a country rank and a number. Click on that number to see all countries ranked by GDP.

c. Calculate the per capita consumption of each of the top 3 countries in barrels per year. Use the formula listed below:
