Resort- Nassfeld

Nassfeld has recently undergone something of a transformation with the increase in the amount of skiing available, and the addition of the Millennium Gondola. This, it is claimed, is the longest gondola in Europe, and has put Nassfeld right onto the keen skier’s map, with extensive and convenient skiing to suit all abilities.
With most slopes north facing, comprehensive snow cannon coverage, and lifts to over 2000m, you can depend on snow conditions being excellent at Nassfeld.

Apres Ski in the region

The village of Hermagor is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and offers cafes/bars and a variety of shops. There will also be swimming and ice skating in the area.

COURSE COST

Basic course/tour per full fare paying student is £600

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR TOUR COST

·  6 day skiing in resort, including board/ski, boot and pole hire.

·  6 day lift pass.

·  6 days of ski instruction = usually 2 hours per day, depending on ability.

·  Accommodation (incl any local taxes) and full board meal arrangements as specified.

·  Services of a PGL Ski representative for the group. (usually a fluent German speaker)

·  In-house entertainment package.

·  Equipment hire.

·  Winter sports insurance, including ski breakage insurance.

·  Snow Guarantee.

·  No surcharge guarantee.

·  24-hour PGL helpline while you are away.

·  Executive coach travel and tunnel or ferry channel crossing and road tolls.

·  Free pick up and return to college for group.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS (available at a supplement, please confirm if you require these services).

Snowboarding lessons are available instead of ski lessons but at an additional cost of approximately £40 per person based on 8 students sharing the additional cost of £320. If insufficient snowboarders of a similar ability are NOT available then the snow boarding may have to be cancelled. A refund will then be applicable.

Pension Leitner

The Pension Leitner is situated a short drive from the main lift station at Tröpolach, from where the whole of the Nassfeld ski area can be accessed.

The hotelier prides herself on the standard of the food, and provides hot drinks, which are available for the group on their return from the slopes, and for the evening. Packed lunches are provided, with students being invited to make their own sandwiches.

This is an excellent, well kept accommodation with 70 beds. Frau Leitner is very used to catering for the needs of school and college groups, and is happy to deal with specific requests and requirements.
The roomsare bright andspacious, containing 3 sets of bunks. Each bunk has an individual reading light and socket. There is adequate storage in all rooms and full en suite facilities.
