CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- All Exhibitors and Competitors competing in horse ring events and campdraft events and spectators wishing to enter the ring must sign Indemnity Forms & NSW DPI Record of Attendance at Horse Events Forms at post entry box. Forms must be filled out and signed to receive wrist bands prior to entering ring area. Wrist bands must be worn at all times.
- Competitors to have Competitors Information Slips completed and legible if they are place getters ready to show Steward. Slips to be retained by Competitor for further classes. Extra copies available from post entry box.
DEFINITIONS
- ADULT – A person who has attained their 17th birthday.
- CHILD – A person who has not attained their 17th birthday.
- LOCAL – Residing within the Dungog Shire or be a member of the Dungog Pony Club.
- NOVICE – Horse or Rider is one who has NOT won a 1st ribbon in a similar event at any recognised Agricultural, breed or recognised Show.
- INTERMEDIATE – Having not won a 1st, 2nd or 3rd placing in a solo event in a similar height class at any Royal Show.
CONDITIONS
- Show Hunter Horses – competitors competing in Show Hunter classes may not compete in open hack classes. Competitors must DECIDE which classes they wish to compete in.
- All competitors competing in Breed Led and Ridden classes, ponies/horses must be registered or foal recorded with the relevant Society / Association. Proof of registration and membership must be produced if requested by the Stewards.
- Measuring - All horses in measurement specified classes must be measured before 8:00am on day of judging. All horses are subject to be measured according to the discretion of the judges. 12mm will be allowed for horses wearing shoes.
- Stallions are not eligible to compete in classes other than those specially provided for. No stallions/colts to be handled or ridden by persons under the age of 17 years. Stallions/colts while in the ring must wear a bridle with bit. Stallions/colts must be double tied.
- Please note a designated area has been set apart for electric tape.
- All juniors under the age of 17 years while riding or handling a horse on the Dungog Showground must wear an AS approved 3838 helmet. All other competitors are encouraged to wear safety helmets when competing.
- The judge need not award prizes for exhibits in any class which does not in his/her opinion possess sufficient merit.
- In awarding the championship, unless otherwise stated, the first prize winner in each class is eligible to compete.
- In awarding the reserve championship, unless otherwise stated, the first prize winner in each class other than the champion is eligible to compete together with the 2nd prize winner from the class or classes from which the champion was drawn.
- All Breed classes are only open to horses registered with that breed and owned by current financial members. Registration and membership papers may be asked to be sighted.
- The age of all horses to be calculated from the 1st August. Every horse foaled before 1st August in the year shall be deemed to be 1 year old on that date. Fillies and colts to be under 4.
- The committee reserves the right to alter, vary or delete any clause or event in the program, and to make any investigation they deem necessary concerning eligibility of any horse or rider or withhold prize money if necessary, until enquiries are finalised.
- Age for children’s events - age of child determined on the first day of the show.
- Entry Fees – all classes $3.00 unless otherwise stated.No refunds on unused tickets.
- Prize Money/Voucher – all classes 1st $5.00 and 2nd , 3rd ribbons unless stated on schedule. Prize money to be collected from ring secretarys office.
- Prize Money/Vouchers not collected within 4 weeks of the conclusion of the show will be forfeited.
- Drug testing may be carried out at this show. Any owner and/or exhibitor who presents, which test positive to a prohibited substance will be subject to investigation by the ASC Disciplinary Committee. Any penalty imposed as a result of an infringement will be fully supported by this society.
- Under no circumstances is any alcohol to be brought onto the showgrounds.
PROTESTS
- Any exhibitor who desires to enter a protest against any decision on the part of the judge, or any decision or act or omission on the part of the Association shall lodge a protest in writing within 1 hour on the day upon which the decision, act or omission occurred. The protest shall set out in detail the circumstances relied upon by such exhibitor and shall be given to or left at the secretary’s office, accompanied by a fee of $100.00, which shall be forfeited to the Association should the protest be deemed frivolous.

ALL PRIZE WINNING COMPETITORS AND EXHIBITORS IN RING EVENTS ON SATURDAY ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN MAKING THE GRAND PARADE A SUCCESS.

The committee reserves the right to cancel any draft if there insufficient cattle.
All competitors must sign a Waiver – including ABCRA members – and be issued with a wrist band before they may compete on the day.
The committee thank those sponsors who provide cattle for the various drafts and for the carriers who deliver the cattle to the show and returned them to their respective properties throughout the region.
All Judges, Stewards and Officials will not allow riders or owners to enter the ring unless the WRIST BAND is worn.
