Ora Morgan to beHonored
ENID, OKLA. Ora Morgan, Autry Technology Center’s Chief Financial Officer, will be named a2017 Financial Stewardship honoree atThe Journal Record’s eighth annual Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEOs event in Oklahoma City on April 20th.Twenty-nine business and nonprofit leaders will be honored including 26 CEOs from the public and private business sectors as well as the nonprofit community and three executives which will also receive financial stewardship awards at the event.
“[Morgan] has been in the CareerTech system for 37 years,” said Brady McCullough, Autry Superintendent and CEO. “She has given her knowledge, time and money to various organizations and has gained the most satisfaction from assisting those in need. Serving others is a prominent part of who she is.”
Morgan has been involved in numerous civic and non-profit organizations including Leadership Oklahoma, Youth Leadership Oklahoma, Hospice Circle of Love, and United Way. She has presented to classes at Oklahoma State University/Tulsa, University of Central Oklahoma and various CareerTech divisions on school finance and training. Through Morgan’s leadership and experience, Autry has led the way with new techniques and software as well as influence in legislation.
“This year’s Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEOs event will honor another group of leaders who exemplify strong integrity, leadership, vision and community involvement,” said Ted Streuli, editor and associate publisher ofThe Journal Record. “It is important that we recognize these leaders for their contributions to Oklahoma’s business community and quality of life.”
Autry Technology Center has been a part of the Enid community since 1967 and is one of 29 CareerTech schools across Oklahoma. The center has more than 25 career programs and offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses and certifications for many diverse career fields. Autry serves nearly 16,000 individuals each year, including many area employees who receive training through the Business and Industry Services Department that works with over 500 local businesses each year.
