QUESTIONNAIRE

This questionnaire is simply an opportunity for us to get an idea of the training background that a potential Foster Parent may or may not have and the type of training methods that they are familiar with using on dogs. It is by no means an area where we would disapprove a Foster Home application. That being said, potential Foster Parents should understand that any comments, concerns, or corrections that we have to their answers are only to give them the best understanding of how to have the best companion possible.

  1. If your Foster Shiba has an accident or destroys something in your home and you were in another room and not around to catch your dog doing it…what do you do?
  1. How would you attempt to teach your Foster Shiba how to “sit” if s/he came to you not having any previous training background?
  1. If your Foster Shiba pulls on a walk or doesn’t walk well on a leash what would you do?
  1. If yourFoster Shiba runs away from you, how would you attempt to catch him/her and what would you do when you get your Shiba back?
  1. What would you do if your Foster Shiba struggled, mouthed or bit at you while attempting to handle or groom him/her?
  1. What would you do if your Foster Shiba growled at another dog?
  1. If your Foster Shiba growled at your or a family member, what would you do?
  1. What would you do if your Foster Shiba was on furniture she/he was not supposed to be on?
  1. What would you do if your Foster Shiba will not come in the house from the backyard?
  1. If your Foster Shiba doesn’t want to go in his/her crate, what would you do?
