The program will include music of Antonin Dvorak, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Petr Eben, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Giacomo Puccini and others.
The BONIFANTES Boys’ Choir was founded in the year 1999 and has won a place among the cream of the choir ensembles in the Czech Republic in its short life. Among the successes achieved so far are a number of concert tours (Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Italy, Denmark and USA) and performances in operas (G.Bizet - Carmen, G.Puccini – Tosca, G. Rossini – Il barbiere di Siviglia) and films (Napoleon). The choir performs in harmony with Czech orchestras on an annual basis (J. Jirásek – Kouzlo českých Vánoc, A.L.Webber - Requiem, V.Wimmer - Apel svědomí, L.Cherubini - Missa solemnis, C. Orff – Carmina Burana). Over the past three years of its activity, the choir has taken part in six international competitions (Iuventus Mundi Cantat – Festa Musicale Olomouc 2x, Prague Days of Choral Singing "Praga Cantat", Musica Sacra Praga, B. Martinů International Competition, European Festival for youth people in Neerpelt), at which it has been awarded with eight gold and two silver medals, two titles of competition prize-winner, and a prize for outstanding conducting performance for the choirmaster. Artistic guidance is provided to the BONIFANTES Boys’ Choir by Jan Míšek.
