26 June 2014
Dear Cadet,
Your application for attendance at this summer’s CTWG Encampment has been accepted, and
we look forward to your participation.
All cadets attending the Basic Encampment will report to Camp Niantic with their gear
on Saturday, 9 August 2014, between 1100-1300 hrs. (11:00am - 1:00 pm). Uniform of the day will be BDU’s. Please note that transportation to and from Camp Niantic is the individual responsibility of each
cadet.
Upon arrival at Camp Rell each cadet and senior must present his or her CAP ID card valid through August 2014. You must have in your possession a valid ID card in order to remain at Encampment. It is not necessary to print out a Form 160/161 as it was included in the Encampment Application.
Encampment will conclude on Saturday, 16 August 2014, following the Graduation
Ceremony. This will be held at Camp Niantic and will begin at 1100 hours. Parents are
encouraged to make every effort to attend the graduation, and friends and family members are
welcome to attend. Graduation is expected to end at approximately 1200 hours. No cadet may
leave until his or her barracks has been inspected and the members of the flight released.
Attached to this letter are an Equipment List, List of Prohibited Items, and directions to
Camp Niantic. It is important that you bring ALL of the items on the Equipment List. It is
equally important that you bring NONE of the items on the Prohibited List since discovery of
such items in your possession will result in confiscation of the contraband and possible dismissal
from the Encampment.
We look forward to seeing you at encampment,
