AMENDED PLAN (DECISION)

To CONSIDER amended plans submitted in respect of this application. Submissions required

by 27th February.

8. BEAMINSTER YOUTH CENTRE – FUNDRAISING EVENT (DECISION)

Beaminster Youth Centre would like to hold a fundraising event in the Public Hall, to raise funds

to purchase equipment for general activities eg. sport, art etc. The young people’s band (a

group of musicians from the Centre) propose to hold a concert, performing free of charge and

members are asked to CONSIDER a request for financial assistance from the Council.

10. TREES – MEMORIAL PLAYING FIELD (DECISION)

11. WEST DORSET DISTRICT COUNCIL: SERVICE REVIEW – PUBLIC TOILETS (DECISION)

To CONSIDER future provision of public toilet facilities (attached)

(a) DAPTC – ROYAL GARDEN PARTY APPLICATION

To NOTE the draw for the four allocations had taken place, the successful Council’s were

Verwood Town Council and Child Okeford Parish Council.

(b) THE DORSET LOCAL ACCESS FORUM – WALKERS ARE WELCOME SCHEME

The UK ‘Walkers are Welcome’ Network was launched in 2007 to encourage town and

villages to be welcoming to walkers. There are currently no locations within Dorset

registered with the Scheme therefore the Forum are seeking Council’s to CONSIDER

submitting an application for registration (attached)

(c) C M DYER– TRINITY CHURCH BURIAL GROUND

(d) DCC – PART NIGHT LIGHTING (NOTE)

Changes to night-time street lighting will be introduced across the western area of the

County over the next few months, this will include Beaminster. SSE Contracting, the

county council’s street lighting partner, will begin converting around 1,500 lights to switch

off between midnight and 5.30 GMT. It will take around three months to complete the

changes, which involves changing light sensors on each lamp. Attached is a map

indicating which lights will be affected within Beaminster, the lights indicated with a red

triangle will remain lit, those indicated green will be turned off between the stated hours.
