PROCEDURE:

2.Eachteamwillreceivetworuns. Ifa run is stoppedbytheJudge dueto personnelerror or safetyreasons that runmaynot be doneagain and willcount asacompleted run. Ifthe run fails due toequipmentfailuretheteam mayre-run atthe discretion oftheEventJudge.

3. At the signalto start,theteam shalllayout fourlengths of50ft, 1 ½ inch firehose,coupleitto aHydrant,pressurize itandknock down atargetsetata distance of225 ftfrom the hydrant.AllcadetsMUSTbe at thenozzlebeforethehydrant can becharged.

4.At the line up for thestart,hosesmust be onthe ground, and should beflaked(foldedaccordion-style).

5.The nozzlemaynot be connected priorto thestart oftime.

6.EachHoselengthmustbe flakedinto position,past the startingline, notdragged into position.

7.Couplingmustbeplaced on the ground, not droppedor dragged.

8.Cadets mustbe in uniform,includingboots.

9.Cadets maynot touch theirequipment,includinghoses and couplings, untiltime has started.

JUDGING:

5.Anyform or style ofthrow is permittedprovidedthattheCadet'sfoot does notcross thechalkboundaryline.

6.The Cadetmustcontinue to keephold ofthe Line untilthemonkeyfist haslanded.

7.A valid throw mustpass betweenthe Gatemarkers.

8.Amonkeyfist landinginsidetheboundaryand then bouncingoutside,shallbe a validthrow andmeasuredatthepoint offirstimpact.

9.Amonkeyfist landingoutsidethe boundarylinesandthenlandinginside,shallbejudgedasaninvalid throw.

10.Allmeasurements shall be takenatthe firstpointofimpact.

11.Changingthe configuration oftheprovidedHeaving Line in anyway, except as allowedinnumber fourabove, is notpermitted,andis subjecttodisqualification ofthatthrow.

12.The onlyHeaving Linepermittedshallbethenew issue, 100 ft line, with arubber Monkeyfistattached.

13.Alinethatstretches out in midair,and isin boundary, but then jerks backto fallshort,shallbejudged asa 100 ft throw.

14.Shouldmorethan oneCadetachievethecondition in #13 above, thenthe other ofthe twothrowsshalldecidefinalplacement.

15.Modification for League Cadets will be 85 ft.instead of 100 ft.

3.Eachteamwillbe asked onlyone first aid question,posed bytheJudgetothewholeteam.

4.The“Patient”willbe a50 pound RescueDummy.

5.Cadetsmustbein uniformduringthis event.Beltsmustbe regulationcottonweb, buckled andpassedthroughallbeltloops on theirpants.

6.Feet firstcomingbackthrutheporthole.

JUDGING:

1.One run onlyis allowed, and timestarts whenteam is setin motionand stops when allfourTeammembers havereturnedbackthrough the window tothe startingposition.
