Interact Club Officer Descriptions
All officers are required to look for events and coordinate them besides their separate jobs.
Secretary
• Take minutes for officer meetings
• Send minutes to officer team in a timely manner
• Keep track of members’ hours
Treasurer
• Provide updates on financial situation
• Turn in check requests on time to Ms. Daffern
• Avoid outstanding balances
• Take care of reimbursements
• Keep receipts and checks organized
• Apply for ASB funding
Community Outreach Chair (2)
• Find and plan as many events as possible to encourage member involvement
• Have at least one event per month
• Maintain the community project assigned by the district
• Plans socials and more Homestead based events
• Create events with other community service clubs
• Maintain Junior Interact (Interact of Cupertino Middle School)
International Project Chair (2)
• Lead International Project
• Attend Area meetings relating to International Project, International Night, Area Dance
• Create applications and hold interviews for International Committee
• Coordinate International Project fundraisers
Public Relations
• Basic maintenance of website (will be taught)
• Communicate with Rotarians and update Rotary on events and statuses
• Advertise Interact and the events through the school
• Submit bi-monthly reports/newsletters on the club’s progress to Rotary and Interact
members (previous experience with graphic design or web design recommended)
