Introduces the creation, optimization, and integration of multimedia design elements into Web pages. This course covers media file formats and codecs, linking and embedding, basic still graphics, rollovers, audio, video,
2-Dimensional animation, and conversion issues.

Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to:
· Differentiate among design principles and technical issues of Web multimedia
· Create graphic elements with appropriate formats and design for Web use
· Create audio elements with appropriate formats and design for Web use
· Create video elements with appropriate formats and design for Web use
· Create 2-D animation elements and special effects appropriate for Web use
· Incorporate those design elements (audio, video, & graphics) into Web pages using techniques appropriate to the platform and viewing device
