Working as thePractice Manager - Sunderland Student Law Clinic,this role will report initiallyto the Director/Deputy Director of Sunderland Student Law Clinic and ultimately the Law Team Leader.
The Internship is a full time post, for a 12month fixed term period. The successful Graduate will be recruited by Sunderland Intern Factory Ltd and then placed for the length of the contract within Sunderland Student Law Clinic.
The Internship:
This is a great opportunity for a University of Sunderland graduate to play a key role in helping to develop Sunderland Student Law Clinic, supporting client and student growth and collaboration projects with external agencies such as Newcastle Law Centre and the Essence Service.
Sunderland Student Law Clinic was established in 2013 and now has 80 students supervised by 9 solicitors offering free legal advice and services to small businesses and members of the local community.
You will provide crucial administrative support to the Director/Deputy Director and other Clinic staff whilst being responsible for the day to day operation of the busy Clinic office.
You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining a professional atmosphere within Clinic and you must have the confidence to challenge students to ensure required professional standards are met.
You will have a client facing role working from a reception desk, from which you will have oversight of the entire Clinic space, and handling all incoming and outgoing communications. You will also be responsible for handling and increasing the Clinic’s social media output in collaboration with students and Clinic supervisors.
You will support students in establishing and managing their client relationships and in ensuring their client files are maintained to standard.
You will have a key role in monitoring the integrity of client data held within our Clio case management system and working with the Deputy Director to manage risk and file management and review procedures.
