A)This pre-qualification is governed by the Law Regulating Government Tenders and Purchases, its Implementing Regulations and Tender Board’s Decisions.This prequalification document is in accordance with Articles 12 -31 of Decree No. 37 of 2002, the prequalification documents must be strictly adhered too.

B)As per Decision No 1 of 2014 of Tender Board, Kingdom of Bahrain, a non-refundablePrequalification Fee of BHD 25/- (or equivalent US Dollars) will be charged for issuance of the subject Request for Prequalification Form.

PART 2 - CONTRACTORS ONLY

Bapco is currently looking for the Contractors meeting with minimum requirements essential to execute upcoming term contract projects as listed below:

  • The contractors having worked ingeneral maintenance, overhaul, alteration or extension of existing buildings together with the construction, if required, of new buildings. Work including but not limited to;Civil, electrical, plumbing, structural welding, roofing, AC work, fencing, paving, etc.
  • Locations of the works will be mainly within Awali, however works at the Jabel offices and the various installations in the ‘Bahrain Oil and Gas Field’ will also be required to be undertaken, whilst work at times will be on ‘LIVE’ plant, sites and facilities.
  • Contractors MUST have minimum 5 years previous experience in building works in excess of BD2, 000,000.000suitable forspecifications in the Oil Industry or equivalent with specific experience working on live process plant, utility plant, timber frame construction, ‘gutch’ work construction, occupied offices/houses and Hospitals.

Note: Contractors must provide documentary evidence substantiating their claim of experience (i.e. Client letters of reference, copies of Purchase Orders / Agreements issued for the work).

  • Contractors having documentary Proof that they are registered with the Ministry of Works under category Grade AA and Ministry of Housing under category Grade A respectively authorized as Building Contractors
  • Must have a minimum qualified manpower resources of 150 such as Supervisors, Foreman with pickup, Carpenters, Masons, Painters, Plumbers, Trade Helpers etc.in their full time employment and sponsorship that meet with their trade skills and experience requirements. The availability of these resources shall be verified by Bapco, at its entire discretion, by conducting an audit visit to the bidder’s premises.
  • Must have a valid Bahrainisation Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labour corresponding to the Commercial Registration Number as per the CR, and a copy of the same shall be submitted with the bid.
  • Must be financially sound. Official Audited Financial Statements and Financial Reports for the past two years shall be submitted along with the bid
  • Must fully comply with the safety standards of BAPCO as defined in “Guide to Safety 2001 Edition”. Bidder should have aminimum of two NEBOSH qualified and trained Safety Officers with previous work experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or equivalent and should be able to have a safety plan for execution of the job for which the tender to be submitted. A copy of the Bidder’s EHS Policy, Safety Manual and the Proposed Safety Plan for the subject work shall be submitted with the bid. Bapco, at its entire discretion, shall physically verify and ascertain the bidder’s compliance by conducting an audit visit to the bidder’s premises.
  • Bidder’s workforce must have an acceptable level of skills in their respective trades and will require each worker to pass a trade test carried out by the Company. The Contractor must provide ongoing training and development for his/her trade tested workforce and the Company will carry out further trade testing as it deemed necessary to ensure that an acceptable improvement in the general skill level of the Contractor’s workforce is being maintained
