On Motion of Mr. Lagasse, Seconded by Mr. Roberts , the Following Resolution Was Offered

On motion of Mr. Lagasse, seconded by Mr. Roberts, the following resolution was offered:

RESOLUTION NO. 121694

A resolution granting permission to the Pontiff Blue Devil Booster Club, Inc., 1521 Palm Street, Metairie, LA 70001 to hold a Football Tournament at Pontiff Playground on Friday, November 22, 2013 through Sunday, November 24, 2013 and to provide for related matters. (Council District 5)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCIL, JEFFERSON PARISH, LOUISIANA, acting as governing authority for said Parish:

SECTION I. That permission is hereby granted to Pontiff Blue Devil Booster Club, Inc., 1521 Palm Street, Metairie, LA 70001 to hold a Blue Devil Bowl at Pontiff Playground on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. to allow the sale of beverages, food, beer, (delivery & pickup date 11/22/13– 11/24/13) and have live music in connection therewith; provided all permits have been obtained from the Department of Citizens’ Affairs, the Jefferson Parish Fire Department, the Health Department, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and from the State of Louisiana Office of Alcohol Beverage Control to conduct such event, and that all requirements and regulations of said departments have been met; and waiving all Jefferson Parish taxes in connection with said event, and to provide for related matters.

SECTION II. It is understood that the proceeds from said event will be used for Pontiff Booster Club.

SECTION III. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Brad Roth, 1521 Palm Street, Metairie, LA 70001.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
