Dear Parents,

Thank you for your interest in applying to Cathedral High School College Preparatory. Providing a quality, private, Catholic education is a costly endeavor. To assist you, if possible, in paying for some of the tuition for next year,it is most important that you apply at this time for the 2017-2018 school year. To receive financial aid, families must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Applicationwith a $30 fee payment by the due date of Thursday, February 9, 2017.

There are two ways you can submit your application:

  1. Apply online: This is the fastest way to complete your application by creating a username and password you can apply online and upload all your documents at
  2. Paper Application: You may complete a paper application and deliver to the Admissions/Development Office with copies of the required documents. Your application must be submitted or postmarked by the deadline: Thursday, February 9, 2017.

If you need assistance to complete the FACTS financial aid form, the school will sponsor a Financial Aid Workshop for new families on Tuesday, February 7, at 6:00 p.m. English Workshop will be held in Room 702 and a Spanish Workshop will be held in the MHRConference Room.To prepare for the workshop you mustbring copies not originalsof the documents listed below. Office staff will not be able to make copies for you. Please bring your FACTS application.

Information needed to complete your application (either online or hard copy)

***YOU MUST HAVE YOUR 2016 INCOME TAX RETURN, IF 2016 IS NOT AVAILABLE YOU MUST SUBMIT 2015 TAXES AND 2016 W-2’s***

  • Copies of your completedU.S. IncomeTax Return1040, 1040A or 1040EZ, and Copies of 2016 W-2’s, 1099. If you are self-employed or a business owner, submit copies of your Income Tax return including schedules C, E, F or Schedule C-EZ (profit/loss statement). Please see Checklist on page 10 of the application for any additional tax forms needed. If application and co-applicant file separately, we need to see both tax returns
  • If you are currently receiving unemployment, please submit copies of your most recent benefits received in 2016.
  • If youarenot required to file income tax return you must submit copies or records of 2016 for any untaxed income such as, social security, disability, TANF, food stamps, veterans benefits or any other source of untaxed income.
  • Please include the Application fee of $30.00. Check or money order payable to FACTS.

Your application must be delivered or postmarked by Thursday, February 9, 2017. Send your application to: Cathedral High School, Financial Aid Office, 1253 Bishops Road, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

We are pleased to assist you with paying tuition by awarding more financial aid than any other Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. However, to award this money appropriately, parents have to assume responsibility for properly completing the FACTS form on time.
