COURSE DESCRIPTION

Business Law is designed to expose the student to the American Legal System, their rights and responsibilities in ordinary business transactions and how law affects them personally. Units of study include: Introduction to Ethics, What is a Lawyer, Criminal and Civil Court (lawsuits), Small Claims Court, Federal/ State and US Supreme Court, Business crimes, Auto Insurance, Torts, Credit Cards/Abuse, Contracts, Intellectual Property, Patents, and Trademarks and Copyrights.
