The Delhi Medical Council through its Executive Committee examined a complaint of Shri Y.R. Yadav (referred hereinafter as the complainant), r/o. 113, Sanjay Enclave, DDA LIG Flats, Opp. GTK DTC Bus Depot, Makarbe Flyover Chowk, G.T. Karnal Road, Delhi – 110033, alleging medical negligence on the part of Dr. S.S. Kanodia of Santom Hospital and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital, in the treatment administered to the complainant at Santom Hospital, D-5, 6, Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Outer Ring Road, Delhi and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital, B-38, Ramgarh, Jahangirpuri, Delhi - 110033.
The Order of the Executive Committee dated 10th October, 2013 is reproduced hereinbelow:-
“The Executive Committee of Delhi Medical Council examined a complaint of Shri Y.R. Yadav (referred hereinafter as the complainant), r/o. 113, Sanjay Enclave, DDA LIG Flats, Opp. GTK DTC Bus Depot, Makarbe Flyover Chowk, G.T. Karnal Road, Delhi – 110033, alleging medical negligence on the part of Dr. S.S. Kanodia of Santom Hospital and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital, in the treatment administered to the complainant at Santom Hospital, D-5, 6, Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Outer Ring Road, Delhi and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital, B-38, Ramgarh, Jahangirpuri, Delhi - 110033.
The Executive Committee perused the complaint, copy of medical records of Santom Hospital and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital as submitted by the complainant.

The Executive Committee observed that on perusal of the discharge card (Regn. 259365) of Santom Hospital, it is noted that the complainant was treated at Santom Hospital (D.O.A. 27.9.2011 to D.O.D. 1.10.2011) with diagnosis of Hypertension, CVA with Ischemic Infarct with hemiplegia. The patient was treated conservatively and thereafter advised physiotherapy. MRI brain report dated 27.9.2011 gave a finding of recent Ischemic Infarct in right high parietal lobe region. The complainant also received treatment at Dr. Anand Maya Hospital (D.O.A. 21.9.2012 to 24.9.2012) for enteric fever with diabetes mellitus hypercalcemia.
In view of the observations made hereinabove, it is the decision of the Executive Committee that prima facie, no case of medical negligence can be attributed on the part of Dr. S.S. Kanodia of Santom Hospital and Dr. Anand Maya Hospital, in the treatment administered to the complainant Shri Y.R. Yadav.
Complaint stands disposed.”
