Materials Needed
Use a sharpie and label everything you want to bring back.
Personal Items
____ Facecloth and a hand towel
____ Soap and deodorant
____ Toothbrush and toothpaste
____ Sleeping Bag, sleeping pad, and pillow and one tent per group
____ Water bottle – VERY IMPORTANT!!
____ Bug repellent
____ Sun screen
____ Sunglasses
____ Compass
____ Note pad/journal
____ pictures of 10 plants that reproduce asexually (turned into Mme. C)
____ route card and map of our camping and hiking area (turned into Mme. C)
____ Flashlight/headlamp (spare batteries) and a glo-stick
____ Camera (it may get wet!)
____ Mess kit (fork, spoon, knife, plate, bowl, mug, in a mesh bag)
____ Whistle (no cork) and a large orange garbage bag
____ Any medication that your child may be required to take. Please inform your
child’s teacher if your student will be taking medication during the week of the trip, including the type of medication and dosage. This information is necessary in case of a medical emergency involving your child.
Clothing
____ Sneakers (keep dry)

____ Sweater(s) (not a cotton hoodie)
____ Track pants (non-cotton)

11:00 am / Arrive at Kejimikujik National Park
11:00 am – 12:00 pm / Set up campsite (tents and cooking facilities)
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm / Eat a brown-bag lunch and clean up from lunch
1:00 pm / Hike and conduct study in park area
5:00 pm / Return to campsite and journal
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm / Prepare, eat and clean up from supper
7:30 pm -9:30 pm / Campfire
9:30 pm / Prepare for bedtime
10:00 pm / Lights out
Day Two
7:00 am / Rise and dress and pack
7:30 am / Prepare, eat and clean up from breakfast
9:00 am / Hike and continue study in park area
11:00 am / Return to campsite and take down tents
11:00 am -11:30 pm / Journal regarding study experience
11:30 pm- 1:00 pm / Prepare, eat and clean up from lunch
1:00 pm / De-Camp and pack up cars
1:30 pm / Leave for Ellenvale Junior High
3:00 pm / Arrive back at Ellenvale Junior High
