I. ROSTER
Player Name (First & Last) and telephone number will be due at the first game. Any roster which is not properly completed, not turned in, or having falsified information will be subject to the team’s immediate forfeit of all games until matters are corrected.
A. There is a twelve (12) person roster limit. Roster is due at the first game.
B. Men’s League must have a minimum of four (4) players to start the game.
II. TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Teams must provide their own like color jerseys/shirts with numbers on the back.
B. Uniform color will be picked at the time of registration, first-come, first-serve.
(No preference to returning teams.) Reversible jerseys are recommended.
C. Each team must provide a leather ball in good condition. The better of the two balls
will be used for that game – the decision is up to the referee.
III. LEAGUE PLAY
A. All I.H.S.A. rules apply. THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE THE EXCEPTIONS:
B. Each team will play ten (10) games.
C. Game times are 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM weeknights – Sunday
mornings – 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM – 10 minutes grace periods all games.
D. Two 20-minute halves continuous clock, running clock stops only during:
· Time outs
· Last one (1) minute of 1st half
· Last two (2) minutes of 2nd half.
E. Last 2 minutes – if a team is winning by 20 or more points the game will be over.
· Clock will continue to run in 2nd half if one team is leading by 10 or more points during the last 2 minutes.
· Clock will stop during last two (2) minutes as soon as lead is less than 10 points.
F. Three (3) point line is in effect.
G. Time-outs – each team will receive two (2) time outs per half. Time-outs do not carry over from first half to second half – Use them or lose them
H. Fouls – each player is allowed five (5) personal fouls. On the fifth foul, the player must leave the game.
I. Free throws – on all free throws, the players on the lane can move on the release of the ball.
TEAM BONUS: each team is allowed six (6) team fouls per half.
· One and One (1-1) after the seventh team foul; one and one bonus shots will be taken.
· After 10 team fouls there will be a two shot bonus.

J. All technical fouls are 2 shots I.H.S.A. rule.
Overtime play: individual and team fouls are carried over into the overtime periods.
K. Overtime play –overtime is four (4) minutes, clock stops the last minute of play. Each team gets one (1) additional time-out. Additional overtime periods are four (4) minute each.
L. All ejected players will sit out a minimum of one game. Any further penalty will be decided by the Athletic Manager as stated in the Park District’s Control Ordinance Number 525.
M. The Mt. Prospect Park District’s Recreation Staff has the authority to give an
automatic (1) game suspension to a player, coach or team member that is ejected from an athletic contest (before, during or after the contest) anywhere from the normal
automatic one game to a maximum 4 game suspension. If a situation warrants a more
severe penalty the park district staff may issue a longer length of suspension to the player, coach or team member.
N. Jump balls – the only time a jump ball occurs is at the beginning of the game, and at the beginning of each overtime period. All other jump balls will use the alternating possession arrow with the teams alternating taking the ball out of bounds.
O. Uniform colors will be picked at registration. Team names must be given at
registration. Teams must supply their own uniforms.
