Tryout Information

Welcome to Bournemouth Elite!!

Thank you for showing an interest in our senior programme for the upcoming year. We are really excited to meet you and welcome you into the programme. This is a very exciting year for us as we have grown so much that we are now in need of a second senior team! J

We are pleased to invite you to our senior team tryouts;

Live tryouts

Date: Tuesday 6th August 2013
Time: 6:30-9:30
Location: Blandford Gymnastics Club, DT11 7UZ
Cost: £6
What you need to bring: Cheerleading appropriate clothing and enthusiasm! You will also need to bring your registration form, code of conduct, waiver form and if you are new to the programme a photo (so we know who you are after tryouts )

This will be an informal tryout to assess ability, attitude and potential. So come along and have fun! There is jumps and dance to learn which are on the facebook event; https://www.facebook.com/events/203039859857878/)

We will be placing all potential athletes within a team, tryouts is to help us determine which one will give you the best season possible.

The levels of the teams we will be having will depend on who joins us for tryouts. So for the purposes of this letter they will be referred to as intermediate and advanced.

Video Tryouts

For those of you unable to join us on the day there is an option to do a video try out.

This will need to include;

·  The Dance and Jumps being released for tryouts

·  A demonstration of your stunting ability – these can be anything you have previously done, they do not have to be of a specific stunt sequence.

·  A demonstration of your standing and running tumble ability – If you’re concerned about this don’t be - Just show us what you can do, if it’s a forward roll, put it in there!!

Make sure you introduce yourself and make it clear in the videos which person you are. A really easy way to do this if you have a smart phone is to use an app called videofy me, it is a really easy way to put video clips together.

You will also need to make sure we have the registration form, code of conduct, waiver and photo. The cost for this is also £6. This can be bank transferred (details on request), cheque (written out to Zoe Dehnert or Sarah Baines) or cash. These must also be submitted by the date of tryouts. (06/08/13) Any issues with this please contact us in advance of this date.

This includes; Normal weekly training fees, extra training session fees, showcase fees, 2 t-shirts, your BCA ID card and your routine music. (This works out at less than £2.00 per hour for your weekly training sessions)

If you are cross competing in two teams within the programme these costs are as follows;
