AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAMME 2003 – 2008 (May 2008)

Introduction

In 2003/04 Penwith District Council set itself a target of at least 70 new affordable homes a year, or 350 new affordable homes over the 5 year life of the “Fit for Purpose” Housing Strategy. This was updated to 100 new hones a year, as part of the Council's 20 year Vision.

Tables 1 - 5a show that Penwith District Council has delivered with it's partners 387 new homes by May 2008. Tables 5b - 8 show how we plan to deliver a further 700 homes by 2010. Our aim is to have delivered over 800 new affordable homes by March 2009.
