Job Title:Family Advocate
Grade:H7 Depending on experience
Term time only – plus INSET days and 1 week
Working hours:Monday to Friday 35 hours a week
(Flexibility needed – there may be occasions when support for the needs of families to be before or after school)

Department:Primary Behaviour Partnership led by Head Teacher of Warren Dell Primary School
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To deliver support, advice and provide information to families who have children/young people with social, emotional, communication needs presenting with significant challenging behaviour.
You will work alongside tiers 3-5 of the primary behaviour partnership, working closely with schools, staff involved in tiers 3-5 and other agencies to support individual children and their families.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1.Delivering support and advice to parents or carers of children presenting with challenging behaviours at risk of or who have been permanently excluded.
2.To liaise and work with children and young people to ensure effective and successful inclusion within their mainstream school.
3.To work alongside all professionals supporting the children.
4.To liaise with other agencies and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews, CIN group meetings and school reviews as appropriate.
5.To support families undertaking an EHC plan.
6.To deliver parenting groups
7.To record, maintain and share data as appropriate, including evaluation of outcomes following planned programmes of work.
