Whitesboro Winter Farmer’s Market 2017
Overview and Guidelines
Please note: All Vendors must submit an application and payment to the library for permission to participate in the Farmers’ Market.
1. Times, Dates, and Setup
• The Whitesboro Winter Farmer’s Market will take place in the Dunham Public Library’s Community Room, on the first and third Monday of each month from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, beginning on the third week of October (10/16/2017) and running through the third week of May (5/21/2018).
• Vendors must be set up and ready to sell no later than 2:00pm, unless prior permission has been granted from the library.
• Vendors may not set up before 12:30pm, unless prior permission has been granted from the library.
• Vendors may not sell any product prior to 1:45pm.
• Vendor booths/equipment must be removed from the premises after each market event, all materials, litter, debris, etc. must be removed, unless prior permission has been granted from the library.
• All vendors will be supplied with a 3’ x 6’ table on which to display their merchandise, and two chairs.
• The vendor’s space and activities must be kept orderly and safe. Vendors may not exceed their allowed space.

•Vendors may load and unload from the library parking lot, but are asked to park across the street on Victory Parkway for the duration of the market, to ensure visitors to the market and the library have room to park.
• We understand that occasionally an issue may arise and you will be unable to attend a scheduled week. Please contact us in advance to let us know so we won’t have vacant spaces throughout the market. Email or phone the library at 315-736-9734.
2. Applications and Permits
• Applications and applicable permits (sales tax ID, various permits for food) must be received and reviewed prior to vendor participating in the market. No applications/fees will be accepted at the market.

• Dunham Public Library reserves the right to approve, reject, or hold applications in order to maintain quality and balance in products available at the market.
• Vendors must conspicuously display, or have immediately available, their applicable permits and sales tax certificate.
• All items sold must be licensed in accordance with Article 14 of the Agriculture and Market’s Law, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, Village of Whitesboro ordinances, the NYS Department of Taxation, and/or the Oneida County Department of Health, where applicable.
• If, during the course of the season, any of your information changes, please let the library know so we can update your application for our records.
3. Products
• Our market mission is to bring locally grown and locally made items to our residents.
• Produce vendors must grow a minimum of 70% of their items themselves, unless working with another local farm in which case prior approval is needed.
• Food vendors and crafters must make a minimum of 70% of their items themselves, unless working with another local supplier in which case prior approval is needed.
• If a food or produce item is purchased for resale, it must be clearly and accurately labeled with the city of origin.
• Products purchased for resale are not permitted at our non-food booths.
• The distribution of literature, brochures, and other items is prohibited unless prior approval is given. It may be allowed in certain cases, i.e. price lists for products sold at the market.
Vendors that have violated any of our rules and regulations may receive a warning or be asked to leave the market without refund.
