Members present: Wendi Larsen- President, Ashlie Peterson- Public Relations, Jai-Dee Riches- Treasurer, Rhonda Mullins- Secretary, Annette Sandstrom- Legislation, Lenna Hanson, Mary Myers, Misse Betts, Wes Behunin, Janel Williams, Laurel Fetzer, Maren Patterson

Meeting called to order at 8:33am by Wendi Larsen.

Lenna Hanson moved to approve September minutes. Mary Myers seconded the motion.

Presidents message: Given by Wendi Larsen. We are in need of a carnival chairperson and are accepting any volunteers or nominations.

Mary Myers volunteered to be the PTA representative for Sub for Santa this year.

$8734.92 was brought in for the Fun Run which was huge success. Class parties for donations will be held Monday and Tuesday.

The book fair had great feedback. People loved the open layout, cost and selection. $7300 was invested and $5300 in books was sold thus far. The PTA was able to donate $600 in books to teachers and the library.

Several parents were upset we would support Chik-Fil-A for family night because of their stance on LGBT issues. PTA members voted to continue our relationship with Chik-Fil-A.

Membership report: Given by Ashlie Peterson. 25 staff/faculty members have not joined the PTA this year. Our goal is 100% to receive incentive from Murray School District. Parent PTA participation is about the same as 2014/2015 school year.

Upcoming events include: Science Fair sponsored by the Utah PTA.

Multi-cultural week which will include 5th and 6th graders will be held at the end of the school year. Laurel Fetzer will head program.

Family night will be held at California Pizza Kitchen in November. The Chik-Fil-A night raised $580.

Reflections: Must be turned in on November 5th and 6th. Theme is “Let Your Imagination Fly.” Maren Patterson is in need of volunteers to help set up and collect entries. Judging will be held on the 10th.

Vision screening will be held on 10/22. Still in need of volunteers to assist with process. A non-profit donor will donate glasses to free of charge.

Halloween parade will be held Friday 10/30 at 9am. Janel Williams needs others to help take pictures during parade for the yearbook.

Book in the Bag will begin in November. 19 teachers are interested in participating. Access to the gym will be given on Wednesdays from 8:30-10:30am to change out books.

Lenna Hanson motioned to close meeting. Laurel Fetzer seconded the motion. Meeting closed at 9:23am.
