The Sacred Trust

Thank you for your decision to help build night and day prayer by joining the Sacred Trust. We know that life can be very busy and it’s easy to go through a whole week without stopping to encounter the Lord. The Sacred Trust exists to help you make sure a set time of prayer every week is kept holy before the Lord. The Prayer Room welcomes you to join our community and will encourage you in any way we can. As a reminder, just read over the requirements of the Sacred Trust and if you have any questions email: .

  1. Staying Engaged:

Being on the Sacred Trust is a statement of your participation with the ministry to take a stand on “the wall” and to stay engaged during the meetings you have committed to. We ask that you fully involve yourself during the meeting(s) by praying on the open microphone and deliberately focusing on prayer.

  1. If Signing Up for Multiple Sacred Trust Shifts:

Many people will join the Sacred Trust for just 1 or 2 meetings a week, and we gladly welcome these. Some however will see the Sacred Trust as a tool to helpo them discipline themselves in prayer and decide to their own will to join the Sacred Trust for multiple meetings. In this case, we ask that you participate in at least 4 of your Sacred Trust prayer meetings. If you sin up for 5 or more, you may choose to spend your time reading the Word or studying, etc. Just as in the case of non-Sacred Trust prayer shifts that you drop by.

  1. Excused Absences:

We define an excused absence by the following: being very sick, a family emergency, being out of town, any requirements your local church may have, or unavoidable work circumstances. We ask that you be very proactive in scheduling your personal life so that it doesn’t conflict with your Sacred Trust, as these are times we have all agreed to se ourselves on the wall before the Lord.

  1. In Town Days Off:

We understand that some very important special circumstances happen from time to time in town (weddings, baby showers, etc.). We allow 2 in town days off every calendar year for such circumstances. (3 for part-time staff and 4 for full-time staff) A day off is defined as missing your prayer meetings for that day. Please mark “ITD” in the box for your name when you will be using one of your days. As always, find replacements for any positions you need to get filled.
