Roush Fenway Racing announced in May 2014 that it will again field its iconic #6 Sprint Cup entry in the 2015 NASCAR season, with Trevor Bayne driving the car with full multi-year primary partnership from AdvoCare (5-24-2014). No word if Roush will run Bayne in a few 2014 races to build up some team attempts. The #6 sat out the 2013 & 2014 seasons. If Ambrose doesn't return, two drivers in the rumor mill include Ragan and Hornish Jr. (9-5-2014). EcoPower and Cargill will return in 2015 as they signed multi-year deals in 2014. Stenhouse Jr. is supposedly signed thru at least 2015 (6-24-2014).

Edwards moves to Joe Gibbs Racing starting in 2015 with Arris as the primary sponsor for half of the races, supposedly thru 2017. The new team will run the #19. No word on a crew chief. Gibbs said that sponsorship for most of the other 19 races that ARRIS will not be the primary sponsor have been sold and will be announced at a later date (8-19-2014). Still only rumored as of 7-30-2014, Edwards will supposedly sign with Joe Gibbs Racing to run a car for a fourth team. No word on a sponsor or a car number. Past car numbers JGR has used for their 4th part-time team include: #02, #80 and #81. Supposedly only Subway will be allowed to leave Roush Fenway Racing and go with Edwards. Fastenal will stay with RFR and move to the #17 Ford (7-30-2014).

Gordon says while thinking of retirement but he plans to race at least 2-3 years more. Axalta is signed thru 2016 for 10 races a year, Panasonice back for two races and supposedly Pepsi is signed thru 2015 to be the sponsor for two races. Crew chief Alan Gustafson is signed thru 2014 but expect him to return. Gordon is signed to a long term 'lifetime' deal with Hendrick, and Gordon says he plans to drive at least a couple more years.
