Objective of this Survey
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was engaged by National Jute Board to undertake a Market Need Assessment and Supply Chain Assessment for Jute Geotextile in the frame work of the project “Development and Application of Potentially Important Jute Geo-textiles (CFC/IJSG/21)”. Objective of this engagement is to identify the market, national and international, for Jute Geotextile for three specific uses – erosion control of river bank, erosion control of hill slopes and construction of rural roads. In addition, this engagement aims to identify improvement opportunities in the jute Geotextile supply chain and suggest an action plan for streamlining the supply chain.
Towards this engagement, PwC has developed this questionnaire with the following objectives:

- To understand the supply chain of Jute Geotextile and identify the players throughout the chain
- To understand the current demand in terms of volume for Jute Geotextile for the two sector - erosion control (river bank erosion and hill slope erosion) and rural road construction
