Explanation for selection
This work is the largest project among which Junzo Yoshimura had designed. Each buildings, such as lecture rooms, music hall express the clearness of structure and composition, sophistication of space arangenement, and richness of details. It well represents the development of modern technology in 1960’s Japanese modern movement. The huge site is located at the surburb of Nagoya (third largest city in Japan), which is one of the characteristic for many universities built up in the 1960’s. There are still remaining the original buildings, however, the extentional projects are now progressing by the project committee of the university. (Kazuto Kasahara)
