GRADUATION PRACTICE: SLHS will host a senior breakfast on Monday, June 8th. Students should arrive at 8:30 AM for breakfast. At 8:45 AM, we will move to the gymnasium and rehearse for the ceremony. Only students that have met all the graduation requirements wand obtained 22.5 credits or more should report for breakfast and rehearsal.

TICKETS: Students will receive TEN TICKETS upon satisfactorily completing their graduation requirements and Student Led Conference. Non-graduates will not receive any tickets. You may purchase extra tickets starting June 3rd during lunches. They are $5.00 each and there is no limit to the number that you may purchase. Tickets may not be purchased at the door. Everyone entering the dome, even babies, must have a ticket as per the Tacoma Dome policy.

DRESS CODE FOR GRADUATION: There is a dress code in place for graduates. Boys must wear nice slacks (no jeans), dress shirts, and dress shoes (no tennis shoes). Girls must wear slacks or skirt and blouse, or a dress and dress shoes (no flip flops or tennis shoes). Graduation gowns and caps need to be free of decorations, slogans, tape, etc. Leis, flowers, and balloons are not permitted! Seniors, please leave your purses, cell phones, and other valuables locked in your car. We do not have a secure place to store valuables during the ceremony and they might get misplaced or stolen.

ARRIVE AT THE DOME BY 6:15 PM: We will assemble and line up for the ceremony. A teacher will be there with extra gowns, caps, and stoles. Students will enter through the lower door and be greeted by SLHS staff Mr. Smith.

Mrs. Swick, Mrs. McMakin, and Mrs. Jellesed will be in the staging area to assist you. Pick up your 3 x 5 card with your name printed on it. You will hand the card to Mr. Brown or Mrs. Widmann to read as you walk across the stage.

PARKING: Parking at the Dome is $10.00; SLHS does not receive any of this money and we cannot give reduced rates or fees. Parents and guests will enter the Dome using the upper level door (students enter through the lower level door).

Parents with parking permits indicating that they are disabled may park in the Handicapped Parking Lot near the main upper door. Ask a parking attendant for directions. The main door is wheel chair accessible. There is room for one or two family members to accompany the person in the wheelchair, but not the entire family.

After the ceremony, you will be able to pick up your graduation diploma if all of your fines and fees have been paid! Mrs. Swick, Mrs. McMakin, and Mrs. Jellesed will have them on the tables in alphabetical order.

Air horns, cowbells, balloons, beach balls and other distractions are not permitted. Remember, this is a ceremony, not a celebration. Please conduct yourselves in a dignified manner.

LIFETOUCH PHOTOGRAPHY: You may have your picture taken as you walk across the stage. A board member will hand you your diploma cover. Reach for the cover, shake hands with the board member and pause for a moment so the photographer can take your picture. In a week or two, you can go to the Lifetouch website and look at your photo; you may order it if you would like to, but you are under no obligation to do so.
