Dear Prospective Science and Engineering Fair Judge:

I am writing because you have previously served as a judge for the Henry Regional Science and Engineering Fairor because you have been identified as a potential judge. The fair will be held over the course of 2 days at the Heritage Center in McDonough. Senior Division judging will take place Wednesday, January 27, 2016, and Junior Division judging will take place Thursday, January 28, 2016.

Your talent and expertise is needed to help evaluate our students’ work and we invite you to serve as a judge for the upcoming fair. Feedback from an expert team of judges provides a valuable learning opportunity for our students by assisting them in reflecting on their work and refining their efforts. I hope you will be available to share your time in order to make a difference in the life and education of a child. Your participation will promote enthusiasm and development in science. Also, this would be a wonderful opportunity for you to meet some of Henry County’s best science students and dialogue with them about their research.

A continental breakfast will be provided each day at 8:30 A.M. followed by an orientation for judges at 9:00 A.M. We will begin the initial review of projects following the orientation. Lunch will be provided on-site. Later in the day, students will be available for interviews to explain their projects. The entire judging process should be completed by 3:00 P.M., and honorariums will be provided.
