WELLESLEY HOUSING AUTHORITY (WHA)
OPENING AND CLOSING OF STATE-AIDED FAMILY HOUSING WAITING LIST
TWO BEDROOM AND THREE BEDROOM
On April 15, 2015 at 10:00a.m. the Wellesley Housing Authority will be accepting
applications to re-open its State-aided family housing twoand three bedroom waiting list. All
completed applications in the WHA's possession by 10:00 a.m. on April 22, 2015 will
be placed on the waiting list by lottery, not by the order in which the applications are
received by the WHA. All applications will be given equal consideration in this lottery
method. Priorities and preferences will be applied according to law and regulations
and will determine the order in which offers are made.
The lottery will be held on May 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Community Room, 107
Barton Road Wellesley, MA. A written description of the lottery procedures is available
at the WHA.
After the completion of the lottery; the WHA will continue to accept applications for a
period of three months. All applications received by the WHA after April 22 , 2015
and ending on July 22, 2015 will be placed on the master ledger in chronological order
by date of application after the established list by lottery. The waiting list will be
closed effective July 22, 2015 at 4:00p.m. No applications will be accepted after that date
unless the applicant has been displaced by natural forces or by public action.
The Chapter 70s Family Public Housing net income limits are:
2 person $55,800 3 person $62,750 4 person $69,700 5 person $75,300 6 person $80,900
Applications are available at the WHA office, 109 Barton Road, Wellesley MA, 02481
or by calling 781-235-0223. Office hours are 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday through
Friday. The universal standard application and universal emergency application may
also be downloaded at www.wellesleyhousing.org or from the Department of Housing
and Community Development website, www.mass.gov/dhcd. Applicants who submit
an emergency application must also submit a standard application.
