THE SMART ENVIRONMENT INTEREST GROUP CONFERENCE,

Friday, 20 NOVEMBER 2009, LONDON

The Intelligent Transport Systems Society for the United Kingdom, ITS (UK) established a Smart Environment Interest Group in 2000 which has been led by Professor Margaret Bell from the beginning.

The SEIG provides a forum for all ITS (UK) members with an interest in transport and the environment to meet, discuss their views and study the uses of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to benefit the environment. The group includes those concerned with the measurement of the impact of transport on the environment, and the potential environmental benefits of ITS. The group aims to be of value to local authorities, air quality managers, highway and traffic engineers, planners, transport and freight operators, consultants, manufacturers and service providers developing and selling related products and services, and to universities and other research establishments.
