Rules & Regulations

·  Auditions will be held on 25 August 2017 at Drum Asia at 8:00 pm

·  Participants are allowed up to two (2) acts in any categories.

·  At least ONE participant in the group must be a member of the Malaysian Bar.

·  The organising committee reserves the right to add, delete or change categories depending on registration results.

·  An act shall run no more than 7 minutes. The act is timed from the first vocal utterance in any vocal category; the first body movement in any dance category; and the first musical sound in any instrumental category.

·  We shall not be responsible for any tape or CD which is not collected pursuant to your performance. Please label each tape with your name for identification purposes.

·  In the Instrumental category, live or taped accompaniment is allowed but must assume the pure character of accompaniment. In the Vocal and/or Instrumental category, any combination or vocal and/or instrumental performance will be accepted, including bands with or without vocals.

·  Participants must wear appropriate attire for auditions and shows.

·  Props, instruments, clothing’s etc will not be provided by the organisers and have to be brought by the participants themselves.

·  The organising committee is not responsible for theft/loss or damage or injury of any kind, to persons or instruments, props, clothing etc., before, during or after the auditions and/or performance.

·  Rehearsals are closed and are only open to participants, accompanists, and coordinators.

·  Organisers reserve the sole and absolute discretion over all final decisions on any matters pertaining to the Charity Gala 2016 not covered by the rules contained herein. Organisers reserve the right to amend, vary or add to any of the rules herein as the Organisers see fit.

·  Auditions - Participants will be judged on the following basis: Presentation, 25%; Creativity, 25%; Clarity, 25% and Ability, 25%
