Press Release n. 5/2017

EIMA Agrimach, the great Italo-Indian event

The planning of the fifth edition of the trade fair in India set for December 7 to 9 is continuing at a good pace thanks to the partnership of FederUnacoma and FICCI for business people on the subcontinent as well as throughout the Asian region committed to the world’s most dynamic markets.

The fifth edition of the EIMA Agrimach international exposition of agricultural machinery and equipment is scheduled for December 7 to 9 in New Delhi at the Pusa Indian Agriculture Research. The trade fair is organized by FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, and FICCI, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Also assisting this year are the Indian Ministry of Agriculture and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as co-organizers with the support of the Italian Emilia Romagna Region and ICE, the Italian Trade Agency.

The biennial event ― held in the country which has become the world’s leading tractor market by achieving sales of more than 600,000 units year after year ― has thus risen to a premier role in the panorama of trade fairs dedicated to agricultural mechanization. This claim is testified to by the exposition’s numbers, some 300 industries exhibiting, half of them from abroad, and the 38,000 visitors who arrived for the 2015 edition. These leading Indian and global manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment are coming to take advantage of EIMA Agrimach to extend their business opportunities in the subcontinent and around the emerging Asian region now experiencing growing demand for mechanical technologies.

Business people in the sector in China, Pakistan, Vietnam and other Asian countries now consider EIMA Agrimach as a point of reference for learning about the technological innovations most suited for a wide range of agricultural operations. The exposition format is based on this premise with static exhibitions of machinery plus a spacious area for trial demonstrations where visitors can witness and evaluate performances with the assistance of technical staffs made available by manufacturers. Also in the foreground is the collaboration of Asian business people and the Italian industries arriving in New Delhi with a large contingent.

FederUnacoma has explained that the 2017 edition is coming up not only as a goal for the biennial but as the continuation of a collaboration strategy for Italy and India in the field of agricultural mechanization. One of the points made is that this year marks ten years of FederUnacoma collaboration with FICCI for a partnership which has staged other events over these years focused on agricultural demonstration trials in the states of Punjab and Maharashtra as well as incoming missions to India and Italy.
