TREC GB JUDGES TRAINING

Saturday 1st April 2017

10am – 4pm

Endmoor Village Hall, Woodside Road, Endmoor, Cumbria, LA8 0HQ

5mins from J36 M6

Want to become an official TREC GB Judge?

Require a Refresher Course?

Riders wanting to build on their understanding, knowledge and skills?

This training course is the first step toenable volunteers to gain accredited TREC GB judge status (you must be a TREC GB member to qualify as a TREC GB judge). Helpers that are non TREC GB members can still attend the training to build on their knowledge. The training is also very informative and useful for riders to attend – both to improve their own scores by becoming more aware of what judges are looking for, and so that they feel more confident to judge other levels on MA or the PTV course, for example.

Training will include an informal presentation with discussions and questions, followed by practical demo’s including all areas of TREC. Training will be presented by qualified TD and TREC Judge Trainer Hannah Garnett.

This training is the first part to become an official TREC GB judge. Probationary judges need to then be signed off at 3 separate TREC competitions after which they will become an official judge.

In order to maintain their level of qualification, each TREC judge must attend a Refresher course at least every 3 years. TREC GB recognises judges who trained under the BHS and will list any such judges as qualified TREC GB judges until Spring 2018, by this time judges must have attended a TREC GB Judges’ Training course in order to maintain their qualification.

Please see the TREC GB website for more details on becoming a qualified judge.
