Entry visas may be necessary for participants of certain nationalities.
An entry visa cannot be obtained in Argentina, but must be requested in the participants’ respective countries. If the country does not have an Argentine consulate, the visa may be obtained through the Consular office of the country representing the Argentine Republic. The Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a website containing information to assist travelers at .
Banking
The official currency of Argentina is the peso (Arg $), banknote nominations being issued for 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 pesos and coins for 1 peso and 50, 25, 10 and 5 cents. Traveller’s cheques
can be exchanged at banks. The most widely accepted credit cards are American Express, Visa and MasterCard.
Bank and foreign exchange officeswork hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Participants who arrive during the weekend can exchange money at the airport.
