About RTHDevo / The newRTHDevo chillers combine Trane expertise in water-cooled screw chillers withcontrol technologies to provide top class efficiency, superior versatility and optimized total cost of ownership in one package.With this approach Trane takes a step further, reinforcing its expertise of developing the unit from the beginning to the end.
RTHDevorange consists of four efficiency versions:
- Standard efficiency “SE”
- High efficiency “HE”
- Extra-High Efficiency“XE”
- High Seasonal Efficiency“HSE”.
Features & Benefits / Simple design, limited number of moving parts to wear out or break down, infinite unloading for extra load matching and system differential to move oil are just few features proving the focus on reliability. Patented Trane Falling Film Evaporator contributes further to industry leading efficiency and reduction of energy bills.
Trane RTHDevo has been designed for ease of installation. All versions and sizes fit through standard 2m wide doors. Only one water connection on the condenser (inlet/outlet) and one electrical connection (single point) as standardsaves time and costs.
The HSE version of RTHDevo, uses the latest Trane Adaptive Frequency Drive (AFD).The Adaptive Frequency Drivereduces energy consumption by allowing for fewer start-stop cycles and improving the chiller’s efficiency under reduced load conditions.
An optional harmonic filter reduces the Total Harmonic Distortion (ThiD) transmitted to the electrical network, preventing unintended tripping and component breakdown by harmonic pollution.
The simulation of one RTHDevoHSE installed for a comfort application in Frankfurt, Germany, with 1300 kW cooling load, showed significant energy savings reaching up to 34 percent versus market standards. This leads to 5800 EUR annual financial savings considering local electricity costs.
Control Features / RTHDevofeatures an advanced, digital Tracer™UC800 controller that provides the intelligence behind the chiller and keeps it connected and online. The system features TraneAdaptive Control™ algorithms - proprietary control strategies that respond to a variety of conditions to maintain efficient operation and significantly shorten the response time.
The Tracer UC800 along with the TD7 touchscreen 7” color displayprovide intuitive navigation through available menus giving facility managers thorough chiller control capabilities. The advanced technologies provide them with full system visibility at a glance and allow them to respond quickly and effectively to a variety of conditions and emergency situations.
Features like data trending,clear alarm log for fast response and rapid resolutionand remote monitoring, contribute to increased operational effectiveness. Remote monitoring, data collection, analysis and recommendation are provided with Trane Intelligent Services. The solution supports BACnet®, LonTalk™ and Modbus protocols for increased flexibility.
