Immediate Needs

Recreation General Post Fund: Monetary donations to be utilized for Veteran outings such as musical events, dinners, etc, activities such as bingo, family fued, and recreation equipments and snacks or refreshments for activities.

Clothing Room: The clothing room serves inpatients and outpatients of the VA Illiana Health Care System. Current clothing items needed: Socks, Tennis Shoes (size 9 and up), New Jeans waist sizes 32 and up of various lengths, Sweat Pants and Shirts Medium, Large, X Large, 2X, 3X 4X, boxers and briefs (M, XXL, XXXL). With winter upon us the clothing room is in need of larger sizes (XL, XXL, XXXL, XXXXL) of winter coats, hats, gloves and scarfs. Please keep in mind new or gently used winter boots and heavy socks.

Warrior to Soul Mate Retreat: Monetary donations to assist in the three to four marital retreats held throughout a calendar year. Lodging is provided for couples that are traveling. Monetary donations are deposited into hospitality housing fund, 2211.

MHICM (Mental Health Intensive Case Management): This fund is used for Veteran involved in MHICM for monthly outings.

Veteran Patient Library: Funds used to purchase periodicals, magazines, computer software for Veteran use and News Gazette subscriptions.

Social Work Emergency Fund: Donations used to assist Veterans with emergency travel, bus vouchers, gas cards (Casey’s preferred in $10.00 increments) and to meet other emergent needs of Veterans.

OEF/OIF Fund: Donations used to assist Veterans returning recently from Iraq/Afghanistan and family members.

CLC/ WARDS: Donations are used for benefit of a specific ward or greenhouses. Construction on two additional Greenhouses is slated for completion late fall 2015.
