INDIANA FIELD OFFICE TECHNICAL GUIDE NOTICE IN-205
This notice transmits changes to the Indiana Electronic Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG) as described below.
1. The following revised standard(s) have been added to Section IV of the Electronic Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG) with the following significant changes.
a. 370–Atmospheric Resource Quality Management (February 2009)
Significant Changes:New - Adopted national standard.
b. 386 –Field Border (February 2009)
Significant Changes:Units = changed from feet to acres; Criteria = minimum width is now 15 feet; Seeding specifications refer to Indiana Seeding Tool.
c. 558 –Roof Runoff Structure (February 2009)
Significant Changes:Criteria = added NHQ language for rock trenches.
d. 629–Waste Treatment (February 2009)
Significant Changes:New - Adopted national standard.
The Toolkit domain will need updated to use 370 and 629.
2. The following new Job Sheet has been added to Section IV of the Electronic Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG).
a. Job Sheet: Field Border (February 2009) = New
3. The following Tool has been added to Section IV of the Electronic Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG).
a. Indiana Seeding Tool (February 2009) = New - consists of Indiana Seeding Guidance + Indiana Fertility Calculator + Indiana Seeding Calculator
i. NOTE: Indiana seeding rates and suitable species can be obtained from the tables in the existing standards, and/or the Indiana Seeding Calculator, and each source may be different. In fiscal year 2010, the seeding tables in the standards should be consistent with the Indiana Seeding Calculator.
4. The following Resource Fact Sheet has been added to Section I of the Electronic Field Office Technical Guide (eFOTG).
a. Sinkholes (February 2009) = New
New and revised standards may be downloaded from the Indiana NRCS eFOTG web page:
http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/efotg/. Select the Indiana page and go to the desired section.
Standards are all located in Section IV along with their respective Job Sheets and other information.
