The City Council of Nicoma Park met in the Council Chambers at 2221 Nichols Dr., Nicoma Park, OK.

1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cochell at 7:00 p.m. There was an Invocation and Flag Salute.

2. HIGHLIGHTS AND CONCERNS

a. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club and Masonic Lodge for hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for the park. They raised $675.25.

b. The Masonic Lodge is raffling off tickets for a storm shelter. Contact the Lodge or a Councilmember for tickets.

3. CONSENT AGENDA

The Consent Agenda includes routine items that can be approved by one motion of the Council. If any proposed item does not meet with the approval of the Council, said item will be removed and placed under the Business Agenda. The following items are recommended for consideration:

a.  Minutes of the February Special and Regular Meetings.

b.  Payment of February Claims.

c.  Payment of February Payroll and Benefits in the amount of $61,307.40.

d.  Approval of February estimated payroll in the amount of $64,000.00

A. Adoption of Ordinance No. 418 creating a new Chapter 95-Signs, to regulate signs in general, providing for definitions and regulations concerning the construction and maintenance of signs.

C. Accept the following Temporary Easements for the Creek Cleaning Project:

1. 2420 Overholser Drive, Owner, Nicoma Park Church of Christ.

2. 2495 Nichols Drive, Owner, Nicoma Park Church of Christ.

3. 2500 Overholser Drive, Owners Larry and Rita Tompkins.

MOTION BY Wiegert; SECOND BY West, to accept the Temporary Easements.

D. Approval of the 2016 REAP Grant Project to clear brush and debris from the creek and accept as complete.

Michael Pittman, 11822 Springbrook Lane was concerned about the City getting the sales tax from on online order they made. It showed the sales tax going to the City of Choctaw. He is going to give additional information to the City Clerk.

The City is working on an issue at Anderson and Eastwood where the manhole is 40 ft. from a water well.

15. EXECUTIVE SESSION

A. Consideration and possible action regarding completion of the sewer contract and potential claims. Executive Session requested under the provisions of 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(4).

MOTION BY Foughty; SECOND BY Vickers, to go into Executive Session at 7:20 p.m.

The Council returned to Regular Session at 7:30 p.m.
