Ashland High School Hockey is BACK!!!!

Think about going out for the Ashland Ice Hockey Team and this exciting club sport! Join the team as a beginner or if you have experience. Teams form in the fall and play in the Southern Oregon High School league against North Medford, South Medford, Crater, Bend and Klamath Falls Ice Hawks.

This is a Co-Ed non-checking team. Players from the Ashland team have gone on to play Junior Hockey with the Rogue Valley Spartans and College hockey with University of Oregon, Utah Valley College, BYU at Rexburg, BYU in Provo, and Midget AA teams in Oregon and California.

Sponsored by the Rogue Valley Youth Hockey Association and Ashland High School, the team is considered a Club team at Ashland, but players are treated the same as Varsity and Jr Varsity athletes. Ice Hockey is played during the Winter Sports season, with formal practices beginning in November, and games play throughFebruary. Championship Playoffs are in late February and early March.

Players must meet High School Athletics Academic standards, taking and passing at least 5 courses each quarter, including the previous quarter to the season, and making satisfactory progress toward graduation. Fees are charged for this sport, and the team conducts several fund raising events in late spring and summer, and into the fall.

Fees can be up to $450 a player depending on how many are on the roster. These fees pay for 15-20 hours of ice practice and 15-20 games per season. Fees can be paid in installments beginning in June through December.
