Northside Elementary

Site Base Council Meeting

March 8th, 2017

3:45 p.m.

The Northside Site Base Council held a meeting in the Northside Library with the following members present:

(1) Julie Dailey (2) Christy Kinney (3) Linda Philpot (4) Cathy Slucher (5) Lauren Denniston (6) Stevi Grose. Mrs. Hill and Roman Morales were absent.

1. Call to Order: Mrs. Dailey called the meeting to order at 3:45p.m.

2. Approval of Agenda: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with the agenda. Consideration to grant approval of the agenda passed with a motion by Philpot and a second by Kinney. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

3. Approval of Minutes: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with the minutes of the February meeting. Consideration to grant approval of the minutes passed with a motion by Slucher and a second by Grose. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

4. Informational – Financial Report: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with the February Financial report.

5. Approval of 1st Grade Art Fieldtrip: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with a 1st grade Fieldtrip to the Kentucky Horse Park on April 26th. Consideration to grant approval for the 1st grade to take a fieldtrip to the Horse Park passed with a motion by Philpot and a second by Denniston. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

6. Approval of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade Fieldtrip: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade field trip to see the movie, “Born in China” in Lexington on April 27th. Consideration to grant approval for the field trip passed with a motion by Denniston and a second by Slucher. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

7. Approval 5th grade Fieldtrip: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with a 5th grade field trip to the Derby Museum and Planetarium in Louisville on April 18th. Consideration to grant approval for 5th grade to go on the field trip to Louisville passed with a motion by Kinney and a second by Grose. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

8. Approval Kindergarten Field Trip: Mrs. Dailey presented the council with a Kindergarten field trip to see Disney on Ice in Lexington on April 21st. Consideration to grant approval for Kindergarten to go on the field trip passed with a motion by Slucher and a second by Grose. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.

10. Adjournment: With no further business to discuss consideration to adjourn passed with a motion by Kinney and a second by Slucher. Roll call was taken Kinney-yes; Philpot-yes; Slucher-yes; Denniston-yes; Grose-yes. Motion passed with consensus.
