RULES

1 The Judges decision is final.

2 The committee accept no responsibility whatsoever for loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the Showground.

3 NO nomination or substitute entries will be accepted.

4 Will reserves the right to amend the schedule and to refuse entries at their discretion.

5 Objections to be lodged in writing within 30 minutes of the event, with a deposit of £50, which will be returned if the objection is upheld.

6 Anyone found to be abusive in any form will be excluded from the show ground.

7 A rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Staffordshire Branch Member in every

class, gold armbands must be worn.

8NCPA Star Rosettes will be awarded in classes 4, 13 and 30. Members must enter the ring wearing a NCPA badge, and be in possession of their CURRENT YEAR’S Membership Card.

9NCPA Registered Pony Rosettes will be awarded in classes 6, 16, 26. Red armbands MUST be worn.

10 Anyone found mistreating a horse or pony will be asked to leave the showground, and reported to the appropriate body.

11ANY PONY TAKING PART IS LIABLE TO DOPE TESTING

12 Any stallions or coltsmust be led or ridden by an attendant/rider of 14 years

old and over.

NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds

This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non-Members will need to become Adult Showing members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2011.The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details).In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2010/2011 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 2011 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions.

NPS / Kilmannan Stud M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMIH)

A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor’s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the Qualification Card.

Equifest

This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 18th – 21st August 2011. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify

P (UK) Winter Championship Show

This show is a qualifier for the 2011 P (UK) Winter Championship Show. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each qualifying class will qualify. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are not current members of P (UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become members and register their horses/ponies in orderfor the qualification to remain valid.No Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring

Amateur showing society

All Classes qualify for the amateur showing society national championships. Full details can be found on or telephone 01284 388923. Competitors have 28 days to become a member to retain the qualification.

Royal London Show

First, second and third placed horses/ponies in the following classes . . . will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show in 2011. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. HEALTH AND SAFETY

The organisers will take any necessary precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of persons on the Showground. It is a condition of entry to the Showground that all persons will act on any instructions given to them by the show committee, in so far that it can effect the health and safety of all. All competitors must take due care to section 7 of the Health and Safety Act and have due regard for the safety of others.There is a Health and Safety Statement on display at the Secretary’s Office.

Correctly secured BSI skull/hats BS4772/6473/EN1384/PAS015 MUST be worn at all times whilst mounted.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times Horses must not be left tied to horse boxes

Entry Fees: All entries on the day inclusive of first aid £13 Members & £15.00 non members

Exhibitors issuing cheques that are not honoured by the bank will be charged £10 and if not paid in full, entries will not be accepted either this year or in the future.

Clashing of Classes.

Whilst every endeavour has been made with the timetable to accommodate everyone, clashing is sometimes unavoidable. Therefore classes will not be held up - so please bear this in mind when entering, as entry fees are not refundable.

It is recommended that every animal at the show has third party insurance

Class 4) MixedMountain and Moorland In Hand Pony Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old & over. Registered in the Pure Bred Section of the Breed Societies Stud Books of Connemara, Dale, Fell,Highland, New Forest and Welsh Section C and D.

1st 2nd and 3rd in each class to qualify for P(UK)

Championship – 1st and 2nd prize winners compete from classes 1-4

NPS/KILMANNAN STUD Silver Medal Rosette Championships:

These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve. Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships.

Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show in August 2011.
