PARADISE ACADEMY OF TENNIS-Junior Program Information 2017

*Sign-up days: Sunday May 28th 10:00-1:00; Saturday June 3rd and Sunday June4th 11:00-1:00*

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT CLINIC (JDC) Cost $100 for 4 week session and $55 for 2 week sessions. Every clinic participant is invited to attend clinics (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday), optional play day on Wednesday, point systemwhich encourages play, and will receive an award at end of year banquet on Thursday August 3rd.

Meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for a half hour class between 1:00-3:00, grouped by age/ability. This program is designed for children of all ages and ability levels starting at age 4/5 to 17 years old. It offers a planned teaching progression from basic skills to advanced techniques for beginners to advanced players.Optional Play Day: every Wednesday . Ages 8 and under 12:30-1:00. Ages 9 and over 1:00-1:30pm. This is a time for the clinic children to play fun games, practice, and rally back and forth. Showtime: every Fridayfor the JDC children there will be fun games, drills, and activities with music at regular clinic time.

JUNIOR INTERCLUB TEAM OR PRE-TEAM: cost $50.00 Every member of the team and pre-team will receive a dri-tekshirt, award, barbecue, banquet, matches, point system which encourages play, practices, and Friday play days.

Interclub Team: Practice every Wednesday 1:30-4:30 hour segments by agefor children, ages 7-18, who are serving and ready to have a fun experience competing against children from different area clubs in their age group. All Interclub Matches are Thursdays at clubs around the area including Paradise depending on the age group. Pre-Team:Practice every Wednesday 1:30-2:30pmfor children 10 and under, who are right on the cusp of serving. We will focus on technique, strategy, drills, match play, and fun. Our goal is to try to have them play in an interclub match. FRIDAY PLAY DAY: 4:00-5:00pm where the staff will set up matches and games between PCC tennis team members.

First practice Wednesday June 21st. Special barbecue/practice June 28th Wed. 3-5pm(This is the day before our first interclub match!)First interclub match Thursday June 29th. Last interclub match Thursday July 27th.Interclub ChampionshipsAugust 1st-3rd! Thursday August 3rd end of season banquet/award presentation.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CLINIC: Every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday for one hour from 3:00-4:00pm. Cost $175 for 4 week session and $95 for 2 week sessionsThis clinic is geared for those players (ages 9-18) who are striving to improve their game and/or want to play on age group USTA teams, middle or high school teams, and USTA tournaments. We will focus on strategy, differentiated technique, fitness, and competing.

ELITE PERFORMANCE CAMP: Every Tuesday for 90 minutes from 4:30-6:00pm. Cost $67.50 for session one (3 weeks only) and $45 for two week sessions. This one day a week camp/clinic is geared for those players who want to take the next step in their tennis instruction and play (ages 9-18). The focus will be on competitive play drills, rally patterns, doubles strategy, and competition.

HIGH SCHOOL CLINIC: Every Monday for 90 minutes from 4:15-545pm.Cost $90 for 4 week session and $45 for 2 week sessions. This clinic is geared for those players (ages 13-18) who are entering ninth grade or in high school and are looking to improve their games focusing on individualized instruction, high octane drills, fitness, and competition.

There will be 3 sessions for the Junior Development Clinic, High Performance Clinic, Elite Performance Camp, and High School Clinic
